The idea behind the bench revolves around Circular Design and a means to a sustainable piece of furniture, using and reusing. My design aims to encompass this idea by creating a bench that although, is quite simplistic, utilises the theme of this assignment. The main aspect of my piece uses natural untreated wood which can be replaced once it has reached the completion of its life cycle. By keeping the design as minimalistic as possible the only part of the piece that is intended to last, are the metal legs.

It is a simple design with minimal components allowing for the piece to be easily moved around to where the user feels is a suitable location on the site. As the piece utilizes logs as the main component it can easily be re-purposed when it wears down.
